Folklore Museum of Skopelos.

The Folklore Museum of επιπλα Skopelos, is the beacon of the cultural heritage and tradition of local residents, honouring the past and preserving the knowledge for future generations.
The three-story building that houses the museum was donated by the family of John Nicolaides and is operating since 1993.
The museum hosts handiworks of great craftsmanship from the tenth and the twentieth century, traditional furniture, ceramic dishes created by the inhabitants, traditional clothing, agricultural tools and the  workshop of John Lemonis who crafted carved knives.
Many of the arts of the past are fading as fewer young people sit to practice the arts of their grandfathers thus creating more and more the need for establishing such benchmarks of the cultural tradition of the area.
The museum called “Foundation for children John and Ourania Nikolaidis’ and located in the centre of Skopelos. It is a landmark worth visiting as it will bring you closer to the roots of the place and will help you understand and appreciate the traditional elements that are pervasive in every detail of the place that you have visited.
Another place worth visiting is the Photo Centre of Skopelos that was founded in 1996.Cooperating with Elize Museum of Lausanne and the ICP in New York, organizes during the summer the Festival of Photography, where photographers from Greece and παιδικα επιπλα abroad expose their pictures while at the same time photography seminars are taking place.
